New Year 2000.

WIMBLEDON:

The corps opened its doors for anyone who wished to celebrate the new year.

Friends of the corps and over-60 club members welcomed more than 30 visitors. The new year was seen in with fireworks and a time of praise and thanksgiving. Two adherents were enrolled during meetings led by Lieut-Colonels David (DC) and ValericeJones.

Gillian Williams came into contact with the corps through the home league and Lorraine O'Halloran through the parent-and-toddler club. Bernie Rogers was commissioned as a bandsman. - R. E/A.F.
