|. As you read through the newsletter there are lots
of things to give thanks for, as well as issues that need support and
encouragement through prayer.
Do pray for the world wide Self Denial and that the money raised will be enough to fulfil Gods will world wide in all the project that are seeking support this year. Do pray for the CYM Tiddlers Race and the Mission for the Algarve. Do pray for the Faith in Action Homelessness Project that as a Mayors charity it will receive the funding it needs for the next year. Pray also for the new trustees.
As we led up to the first of the Anniversarys connected to the Abolition of the Slave Trade do pray for those caught up in to days slavery Human Trafficking, child labour and bonded labour. Pray that other stores will follow the example of Sainsburys around Fairtrade goods. The Fairtrade label means a valued future for the farmers, crop growers and communities from which the food is produced. Think also of those that we spiritual enslaved through addiction, pornography, lifestyle choices that demean others or clubs and societies joined that do not value the individual or society.
A number of our corps family and those known to us need prayer. As mentioned elsewhere in the newsletter do pray for Kitty and Olive. Aidan is under going medical tests at the moment and Ron has continuing treatment. Nicola Garnham (from Raynes Park corps) goes for a scan on 14th February to see if her current treatment is working. Ailsa and Rebecca would value prayer support as they go into Priory School on 12 February to talk about the work of the Salvation Army. Do pray for our young folk and their families as half term looms.
Finally do remember to pray for those who are unable to worship with us on a regular basis. Their presence is missed, but they are not forgotten Kitty, Letitia, Olive, Linda, Edie, Ella, Sonia, Gillian, Ernie, Sue and Phillip.
